Peggy Suzanne ‘Sue’ Vandeveer, age 58, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Monday, January 14, 2019, at her home.
She was born May 30, 1960, in Plainfield, Indiana, the daughter of Joe and Georgianna (Porter) Feagans. She was married to Daniel Rapp and he preceded her in death December 8, 1982.
Sue worked for over 20 years as an RN, and dedicated herself to care and concern for her geriatric patients. She enjoyed relaxing with colored pencil artbooks, watching mob-themed television, took an interest in decorating, and was a loving mother and grandmother.
Sue is survived by a daughter: Nichole Windle Shock (Tommy) of Flora; her mother: Georgianna Feagans of Flora; 6 grandchildren: Allison Perry (Cameron Eckleberry), Mason Perry, Jackson Perry, Jaelynn Shock, Quinlan Shock, and Quadan Shock; great-granddaughter: Aylah Eckleberry; an aunt: Dorothy Jane Wilkes; a friend who was like a sister: Trudy Lambird of Flora; and her dog and best companion: Jazzy.
She was preceded in death by her father and a brother: Jay George Feagans.

This news is VERY heartbreaking for me. When I moved to Flora in the early 70s Sue and I was inseparable..Just had a conversation with her Saturday. Georgiana and Nicole and all the grandkids no my heart goes out to you. All my sympathy and prayers. Malinda Nattier King 😥😥
Sue was a very good friend of mine for a time in high school. She was so much fun and supportive of me. She always had the prettiest smile. Her mama was such a sweet lady as well. My heartfelt prayers for peace for her family during this time of great loss.

So sorry to learn if Sue’s passing. She was in my first class at the Flora Junior High School. Always so friendly and caring. She also did the quest book at our wedding . Her happy and cheery demeanor will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Prayers for her mom Georgiana and family.

Suzanne was a dear friend and my heart goes out to her family and all who know and love her. This wonderful picture of Sue brought an instant smile to my face. It's the same smile we exchanged throughout high school and its unforgettable. Sue would check to see if you were doing alright with genuine compassion. Sue was surrounded by friends and people gravitated to her laughter, humor and sincerity. I am lucky to have had such a close friend and reach out to Sue's family and friends with a blessing of peace and the joy of Sue's memory and presence.

I first met Sue when I was a high school student. She was a friend of my sister, Connie but Sue quickly became a friend to my entire family. I remember Sue as a genuine and caring person. I remember her in an almost constant state of happiness. She had a beautiful smile and a mischievous grin that spoke volumes. I feel grateful that she was in my life and has laid cherished memories upon my heart.
