A gathering for family and friends will be held 12:30 p.m. Saturday February 16, 2019, at Xenia Community Church.
Private burial will take place at Oak Mound Cemetery.
Alice L. Tolliver, age 75, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Wednesday February 13, 2019, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
She was born May 15, 1943, in Lebanon, the daughter of Oliver and Phyllis (Elledge) Allen. She married William E. ‘Bill’ Tolliver December 29, 1960, at Oak Mound Church and together they have shared 58 years of marriage.
Alice had worked at Kern Manufacturing and Fashion Lane, as a bus driver for Head Start and a caregiver for in-home healthcare, and shared a quilting business with her sister Lu. She attended Xenia Community Church and enjoyed doing crafts and gardening. Her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, were her greatest treasures and she always cherished time spent with them.
She is survived by her husband: Bill Tolliver of Flora; children: Danny E. Tolliver of Xenia, Tina M. Coleman of Shelbyville, and Deborah A. Tolliver of Flora; grandchildren: Tiffany Carlyle (Mike Guinn) of Xenia, Shawn Tolliver of Flora, Scott Tolliver of Xenia, Ashlee Knearem (Blake) of Shelbyville, Damien Coleman of Texas, Victoria Warren (Lance) of Louisville, and Ryan Pearce (Levaughn Lucas) of Cerro Gordo; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings: Elsie Braddock (Will) of Orchardville, Lu Harned of Flora, Rick Allen (Debbie) of Louisville, and Rocky Allen (Anita) of Flora; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter: Tanya Tolliver; and several brothers and sisters.
Private burial will take place at Oak Mound Cemetery. A gathering for family and friends will be held 12:30 p.m. Saturday February 16, 2019, at Xenia Community Church. Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora assisted the family with arrangements. Memorial donations are suggested to the family to assist with expenses and will be accepted through the funeral home.
Alice was such a sweet lady and shared her quilting talents with many of us. Our sincere condolences to her family.

Sorry to hear of Alice's passing. I have known her for a long time, she was our granddaughters headstart bus driver, waited on her at IGA for many years, and she quilted many quilts for me. She will be missed by all. Prayers for the family.
