"LOVE HAS NO COLOR" Gone but will never be forgotten. Gerri and I met in 1997 when she hired me at the Family Dollar Store in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. I worked with Gerri for 7yrs., and I enjoyed every experience, she really taught me a lot. Skills that I still use today! Gerri truly walked in her calling as a "Boss Lady" and Manager! 😊 Gerri and I remained friends until she departed this life. When I would come home from Georgia I had to go and visit with Gerri before I left town. Gerri, loved me as her own and I loved her just the same. Gerri, I'm gonna miss our phone calls and visits. My heart hurts now but I know God will easy the pain as the days go by. I won't be selfish about your transitioning to Heaven because I know God had better plans for you and most of all to set you free from your everyday pains. Sleep on my Love and take your Rest until me meet again in a better place! Darlene Moore-your girl!💖
Our condolences
Gone but never forgotten! I love you, Gerri! Darlene Moore-your girl!
Gerry was a wonderful kady, remember her from the Victory Cafe and Ollies Dress Shop. Prayers for the family.
Jerry was a good influence on the kids who worked for her. She always stood up for what she believed was right,.even when others, including city ordinances disagreed. May she rest in peace.
I sure did love Gerry! As a kid I grew up in Flora. I remember her as a prominant , successful business woman.Later in life, when her health failed and she lived in My.Vernon,Illinois, I was privileged to work for her as a caregiver in her home. She made me laugh and we reminiscised a lot.She was a great friend! I loved her cat "Gertie" whom was her beloved husbands baby! I will miss them both ♥️,and remember them always.
I'm proud to share the same name as you. I remember meeting you for the first time in the early 2000's before Trent was around and Carl gave me that huge air carrier replica. Families and people change but you'll always be with me in that moment. Rest easy Geraldine.
