Jack Wayne Colclasure, age 70, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2019.
He was born April 1, 1949, in Olney, the son of Opal Wayne and Henrietta Marie (Smith) Colclasure. He was united in marriage to Delores Krutsinger on November 4, 1972, in Louisville, and they have shared 46 wedding anniversaries together.
Jack served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He had been a dedicated truck driver working most recently for Timco Trucking and in the past several trucking companies which served North American Lighting. He also worked for Valley Steel and Jennmar. Jack was a member and trustee of First Southern Baptist Church where he and Delores were very involved, and where Jack took pride in maintaining the church grounds. He found a lot of enjoyment in mowing, yard care, and lawn equipment maintenance, and was a loving husband, dad, and grandpa.
He is survived by his wife Delores Krutsinger Colclasure of Flora; 2 daughters: Jennifer Taylor of Flora and Susan Pennington (Brian) of Flora; 5 grandchildren: Brent Taylor, Samantha Taylor, Christian Taylor, Paige Pennington, and Sara Pennington; 1 great-granddaughter: Denver Taylor; half-sister: Barb Coleman (Jeff) of Indiana; and a number of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law as well as friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister: Mariland Bullard; and a brother: David Colclasure Rose.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, October 27, 2019, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with the presentation of military funeral honors. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to either First Christian Church Food Bag Ministry to benefit students in Flora School District Unit #35 or to Hoyleton Youth & Family Services, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.

I Served in Vietnam with Jack. Sorry to Hear of His Passing. I visited Jack when I came home. He had left before me I visited him in Illinois I believe he was living with his Grandmother at the time. We depended on each other to keep each other Alive over there. I will always be both Proud and Grateful to have Served with Jack.
