A private graveside ceremony will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Flora.
Linda “Kay” Nolen, age 75, of Flora, Illinois, passed away early Sunday morning, March 29, 2020, at Flora Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.
She was born May 23, 1944, in Effingham, Illinois, the daughter of Ray and Violet (Hinkle) Stanford.
Kay enjoyed working outside with her plants and flowers, taking long walks, and driving around town. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by many.
She is survived by a son: Tracy (Barb) Walker of Pryor, Oklahoma; a daughter: Gina Nolen of Flora; a sister: Karen Sanders of Flora; 5 grandchildren: Katelyn, Sara Beth, Matthew, Haley, and Kendra; 4 great-grandchildren: Braylon, Sutton, Kaylynn, and Asher; a nephew: Tony (Jenny) Sanders of Louisville and their children: Ethan, Gracey, and Joseph; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Ray and Violet Stanford and a grandson: Jordan Walker.
A private graveside service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Flora. Arrangements are in the care of Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. While I have known Ms Kay for almost 26 years, I didn't have the pleasure of getting to know her until her time at Heritage Woods. She was such a kind, funny lady. I am so sorry for your loss. Prayers for the family.

Sorry for your loss. Kay was a sweet person. We went all through high school together, class of "62. Saw Kay at Charlie Brown Park at 4th of July 4 years ago and got to vidit with her. Prayers of comfort for all the family.
