Wayne Allison

   James Wayne Allison, age 53, of Xenia, Illinois, passed away Monday evening, November 30, 2020, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana.

   He was born April 24, 1967, in Flora, Illinois, the son of James Neal and Phyllis (Byers) Allison.  He was united in marriage to Candy J. Tolliver on August 29, 1987, at the Baptist Church in Clay City and together they have shared 33 years of marriage.

   Wayne enjoyed the outdoors and cherished time spent hunting and fishing with his boys.  He loved sitting in a deer stand taking photos of the many deer he saw and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  Wayne enjoyed cooking, grilling, and working on derby and race cars and enjoyed his time at the track.

   He is survived by his wife: Candy Allison of Xenia; 3 sons: Brandon Allison of Xenia, Cody (Bethany) Allison of Xenia, and Jeremiah (Katy) Allison of Flora; parents: Jim and Phyllis Allison of Flora; 8 grandchildren: Kyrah, Kenedee, Bradon, Bentley, Savannah, Cailyn, Braxton, Camden; 3 additional grandchildren: Adrianna, Bentley, and Carley; brother: Tony Allison of Flora; mother and father-in-law: Ron and Sue Tolliver; 2 brother-in-law’s: Alan (Maureen) Tolliver of Flora and Tom (Angie) Tolliver of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; sister-in-law: Kay (Greg) Oestreich of Clay City; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends also survive.

   He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Howard and Wilma Byers; paternal grandparents: David and Fern Allison; an uncle: Sam Byers; 3 cousins: Anthony Strange, Jeff Strange, and Amanda Byers; and grandparents-in-law: Paul Landreth, Eddie and Martha McHenry, and Oren and Frances Allen.

   A memorial ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, December 7, 2020, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.  Visitation will be 4 p.m. until time of service on Monday evening at the funeral home.  Memorial donations are suggested to RSDSA (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome Association) and will be accepted through the funeral home.  To share a memory or condolence visit: www.frankandbright.com
