Eva Faye Hatcher, age 78, of Cisne, Illinois, passed away Sunday evening, February 28, 2021, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
She was born February 5, 1943, in Taylorville, Illinois, the daughter of Jess and Hazel (O’Brien) Miller.
Eva enjoyed sitting on her porch swing waiting on her grandkids and watching the hummingbirds, playing Yahtzee with family, and working crossword puzzles. She cherished time spent with her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. She enjoyed watching Christmas movies, the Alaskan Bush People, and Dog the Bounty Hunter on television and will be remembered as a loving woman who opened her home to everyone.
She is survived by her children: Jim (Darlene) Hatcher of Cisne, Jeff (Kelly) Hatcher of Cisne, Crystal Bailey of Cisne, Johnny (Mellody) Hatcher Jr. of Cisne, Sara (Larry) Billington of Cisne, Mary (Scott) Reynolds of Effingham, Rita Hatcher of Ardmore, Tennessee, Bonnie (Todd) Hall of Walters, Oklahoma, and Drena Boles of Fairfield; multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters: Lois (Roy) Landreth of Flora, and Geneva (Don) Welty; and beloved pets: Bella and Buddy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son: Johnny Christopher Hatcher, 3 sisters: Kaye Regino, Sue Tillman, and Velma Speagle; a brother: Bill Miller; and 3 granddaughters.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Interment will follow in Cisne Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
