Jan 21st, 1973 - Apr 9th, 2021Cathy Jo Hartman, age 48, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021.
She was born January 21, 1973, in Effingham, the daughter of Joseph E. and Betty Lou (Harrington) Hartman.
Cathy was a 1991 graduate of Flora High School. She had worked for Flora Burger King for over 20 years and considered her co-workers to be part of her extended family. Being outdoors as well as opportunities to spend time with friends and family were important to her. Cathy’s caring heart was truly most uplifted by her daughter, Cherish. She loved watching her participate in sports and simply found pride and joy in being her mom.
Cathy is survived by her daughter, Cherish Lynn Cope of Flora, as well as her extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A graveside memorial ceremony to celebrate Cathy’s life will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 15, 2021, at Orchard Hill Cemetery in Louisville. Arrangements are in the care of Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Memorial donations are suggested to assist the family with expenses, and will be accepted through the funeral home.
