Joshua Noll Bailey, age 48, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at his home.
He was born May 3, 1973, in Flora, Illinois, the son of Samuel C. and Terry S. (Chaney) Bailey.
During the last several years Josh was employed at NAL in Flora. He had previously held longtime positions including traveling with Finley Engineering, and also working with Loudon Machinery in Effingham and Schneider Engineering in Indianapolis.
Josh loved his family and friends and spent all the time that he could with them. He enjoyed fishing, camping, music, and cooking. He was a sports enthusiast and loved animals. Josh had always enjoyed traveling, but especially in recent years while taking his son to see the country and visiting distant relatives. He was a great dad, always trying to give his son a full and adventurous life.
Josh had quite a sense of humor and quick wit, and all who knew him will have many memories of times shared with him. Most of all, he was a man who cared deeply about others, doing all he could to enrich their lives and ease their pain.
He is survived by his son: Jacob Bailey; mother: Terry Bailey; father: Sam Bailey; and grandparents: Bill & Donna Chaney, all of Flora; uncles: Jay (Kim) Chaney of Flora, Bud Bailey of Louisville; Dwayne (Sharon) Bailey of Louisville, and Don (Charlene) Bailey of Edgewood; aunts: Ruth Busby of Effingham, Mary Heiden of Flagstaff, Arizona, and Marilyn (Jim) Hagrelius of Grand Rapids, Michigan; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Noll and Gladys Bailey of Louisville.
