Francis Mae Hosselton, age 92, of Louisville, Illinois passed away early Friday morning, April 29, 2022, at her home.
She was born November 19, 1929, in Oskaloosa Township, the daughter of Norris E. and Opal Marie (Montgomery) Pickel. On March 24, 1950, she married Donald Sweeney and he preceded her in death on April 21, 1976. She later married Ray W. Hosselton on November 19, 1978.
Francis was co-owner and bookkeeper for Ray & Frankie’s Machine Shop for 30 years. She enjoyed dancing and country music, and was a member of the Louisville American Legion, Louisville VFW, and Louisville Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband: Ray Hosselton of Louisville; a son: Mike (Debbie) Sweeney of Taylor Mills, Kentucky; a stepson: Roger Hosselton; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband: Don Sweeney; a daughter: Donna Sweeney Pontious; great-grandson: Brandon Roddy; a sister: Juanita Schoonover; and a half-brother: Dwight Pickel.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 2, 2022, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Gary Kuhlig, Mike Sweeney, and Mikey Sweeney will officiate. Interment will follow in Cisne Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 noon until 1 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
