Bernell Duvall

     Bernell Duvall, age 90, of Louisville, Illinois, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023, at her home, and is at last reunited with the love of her life, Stalford.

     Bernell was born October 21, 1932, near Bowling Green, Kentucky, the daughter of John and Katie (Howell) Coulter.  She was united in marriage to Stalford M. Duvall on February 17, 1951, in Franklin, Kentucky, and together they shared 64 wedding anniversaries until his passing on May 3, 2015.

     Bernell had worked several jobs over the years including waiting tables, working at a nursing home, and managing a furniture store.  After retiring, she and Stalford moved from Indiana to Illinois in 2001.  She enjoyed gardening, taking care of her flowers, and considered the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren the most important thing in her life.

     She is survived by a daughter: Beverly Gayle Willison of Bible Grove; 3 grandchildren: John (Jennifer) Myers of Holiday, Florida, Andy (Jamie) Myers of Flora, and Carleigh Yeager of Effingham; and 5 great-grandchildren: Dylan Myers, Jaycee Myers, Mallory Myers, Marli Myers, and Coraline Willison.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son: Danny Duvall; and siblings: Bill Coulter, Kathleen Coulter Brooks, Levy Coulter, Rex Coulter, Thomas Coulter, Jack Howell, and twin infant siblings.

     A funeral ceremony will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.  Interment will follow in Red Brush Cemetery, Louisville.  A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until noon on Thursday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial donations are suggested to the Clay County Veterans Memorial and these will be accepted through the funeral home.  To share a condolence or memory, visit: www.frankandbright.com
