Aug 16th, 1939 - Mar 29th, 2024Erma Jean “Jeanie” Burt, age 84, of Clay City, Illinois, passed away Friday morning, March 29, 2024, at Flora Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.
She was born August 16, 1939, the daughter of Russell and Dorothy (Welch) Payne. She was united in marriage to Ronnie Dale Burt, and he preceded her in death on June 20, 2006.
Jeanie was a 1957 graduate of DuPont Manuel High School in Louisville, Kentucky. She later went back to college when she was 50 years old and proudly graduated from Olney Central College in 1989. Jeanie had worked as an accountant for Joe McDaniel. She enjoyed time spent camping, fishing, and traveling.
She is survived by a grandson: Jacob Frank of Sailor Springs; a granddaughter: Brittani Workman of Flora; great-grandchildren: Layla, Kyler, and Zeth Frank, and Anderson Snyder all of Sailor Springs; and a stepdaughter: Kim Burt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Ronnie Burt; daughter: Michelle Workman; and son: Bryan Adkins.
