Karen Keeley
Dec 18th, 1940 - Jun 5th, 2024Karen Mary Keeley, age 83, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 5, 2024, at her home.
She was born December 18, 1940, in Centralia, the daughter of Dr. R.G. and Mildred (Baldridge) Keeley.
Karen lived in a group home during her later years. She was happy and a joy to be around and truly loved all the activities that the home presented. She enjoyed attending workshop regularly, watching Little House on the Prairie, participating in Special Olympics, and getting her hair done. Karen was a fan of Elvis and the Beatles and was an accomplished artist, having won several awards for her work.
Karen leaves behind to cherish her memory, 2 brothers, Dennis (Bonnie) Keeley and Tom Keeley, and 2 sisters, Kathy Justin and Jane White.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
The family wishes to thank the staff and friends at the group home for loving and taking care of Karen’s needs for the past 38 years.
