Jan 14th, 1955 - Aug 22nd, 2024Sandra Louise Hudgins, age 69, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024.
She was born January 14, 1955, in Chicago Heights, the daughter of Daley and Thelma (Kilman) McGrew. She was united in marriage to Randy Eugene Hudgins on November 4, 1995, in Flora and together they have shared 28 wedding anniversaries.
Sandy had worked in the housekeeping department at Flora Rehabilitation & Health Care Center. She attended Christ’s Church in Flora. Sandy had a special love for cats, and truly adored her cat, Marlin. She enjoyed time spent with Randy at their cabin at Trago Lake and loved attending her grandchildren’s school and sporting events.
She is survived by her husband: Randy Hudgins of Flora; 3 daughters: Michele (Aaron) McGee of Flora, Bridget Spencer (Jeff Yates) of Flora, and Christina (Johnathan) Hannel of Olney; 7 grandchildren: Madison (Max) Thomason of Flora, Jaydon Yates of Flora, Jazzlyn Yates of Flora, Jaxson Yates of Flora, Kayden Hannel of Olney, Emmalynn Hannel of Olney, and Chase Hannel of Olney; great-granddaughter: Meredith Thomason of Flora; a brother: Robert (Lona) McGrew of Knox, Indiana; a sister: Jeannine Williams of Flora; brothers-in-law: Kevin Hudgins of Flora and Tony Hudgins of Flora; a sister-in-law: Theresa Hudgins of Arizona; and her beloved cat, Marlin.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her mother-in-law: Janice Hudgins.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora with Mark Long officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Flora. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday evening at the funeral home.
