Joe Proudfoot

      Joseph John Proudfoot, age 73, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Saturday morning, September 7, 2024, at his home.

      He was born on June 24, 1951, in Manhattan, New York, the son of Frank and Catherine (Dolan) Proudfoot.  He was united in marriage to Wilma Pearl Fancher on July 16, 1983, in Louisville, and together they shared 33 wedding anniversaries until her death on January 25, 2017.

      Joe had worked at North American Lighting in Flora.  He enjoyed spending time outdoors, mowing his yard, and watching television.

      He is survived by his son: Frank Proudfoot of New Jersey, New York; special friend and caregiver: Tina Waters of Flora; and his beloved dog: Sparky.

      He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

      There will be no services.  Arrangements are by Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.  Memorial donations are suggested to any charity of the donor’s choice, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.
