Frank Goff

      Frank Wilson Goff, age 67, of Clay City, Illinois, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Clay County Hospital.

      Frank was born May 10, 1957, in Flora, the son of Harold E. and Goldie A. (Stanford) Goff. 

      Frank had worked at Sparton Manufacturing in Flora and AMF in Olney.  He then worked as a housekeeper for the elderly.  Frank was really a big kid at heart and could often be found playing with the neighborhood children in the front yard.  He always kept a tidy yard so that it was ready for the next family cookout.  Frank enjoyed word search puzzles and watching classic western movies and TV shows.

      Frank is survived by his girlfriend and longtime companion: Gloria McCollum of Clay City; daughter: Amy (William) Humes of Olney; 2 grandchildren: David Allen and Myra Elizabeth; special friends: Lydia (Carl “Bud”) Taylor of Clay City; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs: Max and Chubby.

      Frank is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers: Ted and Glen E. Goff.

      A funeral ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora with Kevin Billingsley officiating.  Interment will follow in Oskaloosa Cemetery.  A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.  Memorial donations are suggested to Gloria McCollum to assist with funeral expenses, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.  To share a condolence or memory, visit: www.frankandbright.com
