Stanley Dean Persinger Jr., age 25, of Flora, Illinois passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014 at his home in Flora.
Stanley was born June 23, 1989 in Flora to Patricia (Sudduth) and Stanley D. Persinger Sr. He worked for Wilson Well Service in Clay City, participated in demo derbies, and enjoyed fishing. Stanley was a loving father to his children and also held a special place in his heart for his sisters, nieces and nephews. He also loved helping his friends, enjoying the times gathering with them at cookouts.
Stanley is survived by his father: Stanley D. Persinger Sr. of Flora; mother: Patricia Wicke (Joe Dulaney) of Flora; 4 sons: Alexander Smith, Damian Persinger, Zaiden Persinger, Brantley Persinger; loving mother of his children: Ashley Belcher of Flora; 3 sisters: Tiffany Siegler of Flora, Amanda Persinger of Effingham and Mary Jo (Zack) Evans of Alabama; along with 5 nieces, 5 nephews, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many family friends. Stanley was preceded in death by his grandparents (Harold and Ida Frances Persinger and Frank Sudduth), 3 uncles (Junior Persinger, Jimmy Persinger, and Jack Fulk), and step-father (Steve Wicke).
The funeral service for Stanley Persinger Jr. will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Frank & Bright Funeral Home, Flora, with visitation from 12 p.m. (Noon) until time of service on Thursday.
