Sep 28th, 1916 - Aug 27th, 2014Marjorie (Felty) Makarczyk, age 97, of Flora, Illinois passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Flora Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Flora.
Marjorie was born September 28, 1916 in Clay County, Illinois to Frank and Bertha (Sutton) Felty. She married Stanley P. Makarczyk on May 29, 1962 in Lansing, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 16, 2000. Marjorie had a tremendous sense of work ethic. She worked in a factory assisting the war effort during WWII, enjoyed browsing flea markets, and did delicate cut out stitch work. She was loved by many, loved her pets, and was affectionately known as “Nana”.
Surviving are 3 grandchildren: Mark D. Skvara (Jennifer) of Green Bay, WI, Jill E. Mills (Dana) of Ball Ground, GA, and Eric Mathew Skvara (Loree) of Knoxville, TN; 2 great-grandchildren: Nicholas Alden Skvara and Benjamin Ryan Skvara; a sister: Clara Pierson (Earl) of Flora; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter: Mary Caroline Skvara, 3 brothers: Roy, Glen, and Frank Felty, and 2 sisters: Esther Armstrong and Audrey Moore.
