   William D. “Billy” Shrum Jr., age 55, of Flora, Illinois passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at his home in Flora.

   Billy was born May 1, 1959 in Flora to William E. and Agnes (Ruger) Shrum.  He was a graduate of Flora High School Class of 1977 and attended Oak Street Baptist Church.  Billy also loved animals.

   He is survived by siblings: Joyce Meeres of Iuka, John Shrum (friend Chris Boyd) of Flora, Jeannie (Ron) Kincaid of Louisville, and James Allen Shrum of Charlotte, NC; aunt: Sara (William) Tooley; uncle: Bud (Johnalee) Ruger; cousin: Vickie Strange; along with several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law: Veda.

   A funeral service for Billy Shrum will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Frank & Bright Funeral Home, Flora, with visitation from 2 p.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.  A private burial in Elmwood Cemetery will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
