Oct 19th, 1928 - Jan 29th, 2015Mary A. Bowen, age 86, of Louisville, Illinois passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Flora Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Flora.
Mary was born October 19, 1928 in Beecher City to Michael M. and Goldie Idella (Caldwell) Nosek. She married James Dale Bowen on December 12, 1950 in Louisville. He preceded her in death on May 10, 1997. During Mary’s working years, she was employed at Four Sisters Manufacturing and Flora Pavilion Nursing Center. She was also a member of Red Brush Christian Church.
She is survived by her children: James (JoAnn) Bowen Jr. of Louisville, Allen Ray (Linda) Bowen of Louisville, Virgil Lee (Paula) Bowen of Flora, Debbie (Brad) Halterman of Louisville, and Patricia (Mike) Polcyn of Louisville; 1 sister: Sarah Gill of Salem; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son: John Richard Bowen, a grandson: Michael Polcyn Jr., 3 brothers: Joe, Marty, and Norman Nosek, and 1 sister: Vera Olliver.
A funeral service for Mary Bowen will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home, Flora, with visitation from 10 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
