Blanche Perry

   Blanche V. Perry, age 89, of Flora, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at Flora Gardens Care Center in Flora.

   Blanche was born December 14, 1925 in Clay County to Fred M. and Florence (Golden) Scheetz.  She married Richard E. Perry on January 13, 1946 in Enterprise.  He preceded her in death on February 16, 1988.  Blanche was a homemaker and dedicated her life to raising her family.  She was a devoted member of Oak Street Southern Baptist Church, and in the past was active in the Freedom Sunday School Class of the church and Clay County Senior Citizens.  She also enjoyed playing cards with her friends.

   She is survived by 4 sons: Jim (Jennifer) Perry of Flora, Rick (Carolyn) Perry of Flora, Gary (Debbie) Perry of Flora, and Harold (Rita) Perry of Cisne;  1 daughter: Pam (Bill) Stephens of Flora; along with 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 5 brothers, and 3 sisters.

   A funeral service for Blanche Perry will be held at 12 (Noon) on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Oak Street Southern Baptist Church with visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the church.  Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Flora.  Frank & Bright Funeral Home, Flora, is in charge of arrangements.  Memorial donations may be given to Oak Street Southern Baptist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.  To share a condolence, visit www.frankandbright.com.
