James & Marian Strickland

   A graveside memorial service for James R. Strickland, age 92, and his wife Marian K. (Miller) Strickland, age 88, of Covington, Indiana, formerly of Flora, Illinois, will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2015, at Floral Garden of Memories Cemetery, Flora, Illinois, with Pastor Rocky Allen officiating.  Military honors will be presented for Mr. Strickland.

   James was born March 19, 1923 and passed away July 7, 2015.  Marian was born June 16, 1925 and passed away May 7, 2014.  Jim and Marian were high school sweethearts and enjoyed 72 years together.  They both loved God, family, and country.

   They are survived by a son: Jim (Joy) Strickland of Covington, IN; a daughter: Saundra (Dale) Castleberry of Flora, IL; 8 grandchildren: J.R. and Beth Strickland of Grays Lake, IL, Jodi (Chaney) and David Callahan of Rinard, IL, Lea (Chaney) and Tim Havel of Freeburg, IL, Ben and Tiffany Castleberry of Flora, Ethan Castleberry and Whitney Patton of Tennessee, Rick and Rebecca Blackburn of Texas, Bill and Danielle Blackburn of Indiana, Jeff Blackburn of Indiana; along with many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
