Zella Guinn
Feb 17th, 1924 - Jan 18th, 2016Zella K. Guinn, age 91, of Washington, Indiana, a former resident of Flora, Illinois, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016.
Zella was born February 17, 1924, in Hoosier Township, Clay County, Illinois, the daughter of Edward and Nellie (Harris) Cambron. She married Charles F. Guinn in 1942. He preceded her in death June 24, 1988.
Zella was a wonderful mother and grandmother with a delightful sense of humor. Her light and love will continue to be celebrated by those she knew and loved. Being of the Baptist faith, her love and compassion for Christ was an example to her family as she parted Beyond the Sunset Forever More…
She is survived by her two sons: Mike (Brenda) Guinn of Washington, IN, and Vernon (Yvonne) Guinn of Flora, IL; son-in-law: Leon Devlin of Kirksville, MO; one sister: Betty (Jack) Henderson of Lafayette, LA; six grandchildren: Steven (Colleen) Devlin of Columbia, MO, Pamela (Paul) Stuart of Kirksville, MO, Sara (Ryan) Schnepper of Louisville, IL, Nathan Guinn of Flora, IL, Clayton Guinn of Omaha, NE, and Carmen (Jesse) Lewis of Louisville, IL; 9 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles, daughter Judy Devlin, granddaughter Lauren Guinn, and two sisters.
A funeral service for Zella Guinn will be 12 Noon Friday, January 22, 2016, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home, Flora, Illinois. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Flora. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be given to Friends for Animals in honor of Zella’s granddaughter Lauren and will be accepted at the funeral home.
