Feb 4th, 1939 - Mar 3rd, 2016Charlotte Jean Pittman, age 77, of Fairfield, Illinois, formerly of Cisne, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016, at Way-Fair Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Fairfield.
Charlotte was born February 4, 1939 in Fairfield, the daughter of Charles and Henrietta (Scott) Holstein. She married Robert Dale Pittman on September 4, 1962 in Albion. He preceded her in death May 26, 2013. Charlotte was a homemaker, and in addition to raising her family, she also worked at Cousin Fred’s and did factory work. She was a good cook and loved cooking meals, and found enjoyment in gardening, crafting, and painting. Charlotte cherished the times that she and Dale spent square dancing.
She is survived by 2 sons: Edward (Perrian) Upton of Hughesville, MD, Robert (Becky) Pittman of Rinard; daughter: Sherry Bradford of Fairfield; grandson: Seth Bradford of Fairfield; 4 step-grandchildren; 1 step-great-grandson; a sister-in-law; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother: James Holstein.
A graveside service for Charlotte Pittman will be 3 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2016, at Cisne Cemetery with Pastor Doyle Williams officiating. Those attending are asked to meet at the cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.
