Kaelin Lee Colclasure, age 51, died Monday, March 28, 2016.
He was born October 13, 1964, in Effingham to Keith and Sandra (Schoonover) Colclasure, and was first married to Davlyn (Krems) Colclasure. He was later married to Karen Leshner.
Kaelin’s early interest in computers led to positions as senior Software Engineer and Chief Architect at a number of companies, including Apple, Inc. His philanthropic efforts focused on the importance of education in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math. Kaelin served in the U.S. Air Force as a programmer/analyst, and he earned a degree in Computer Science from McKendree University.
He is survived by his sons: Nicholas Lee Colclasure of Troy, New York and Markus David Colclasure of Carbondale; stepdaughters: Rebecca, Allison, and Jennifer Payne; mother: Sandra Schoonover of Louisville; and a brother: Daniel Chitwood of Flora. He was preceded in death by his father: Keith Colclasure.
Services for Kaelin Colclasure will be held privately. Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora is assisting the family with arrangements.
