Charles Roger Creek, 85, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away July 25, 2016, in Gassville, Arkansas.
He was born September 7, 1930, in Flora, Illinois, the son of Charles and Bernice (Golden) Creek. In 1948, he married Wanda McMillian at Morganfield, Kentucky. Charles was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked for Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line Company, LP, and was an Ordained Southern Baptist Minister. He served many churches in the area, including one in Kentucky. Charles lived in Mountain Home since moving from North Judson, Indiana, in 1986. After Wanda passed away in 1990, he was married to Oveil Taylor, until her death, in 2012. He was a member of the The Bridge Baptist Church, the American Legion, and was a previous Scout Master.
Charles is survived by his son, David (Sherry) Creek of Whitestown, IN; six daughters, Glenda (Dave) Kietzmann of Danville, IL, Deanna (Mike) Gatterman of Danville, IL, Cheryl (Billy) Sanders of Springfield, MO, Janice (Tony) Randall of Flora, IL, Tina (Paul) Church of Winston Salem, NC, and Diana (Jeff) Still of Harriet, AR; brother, Joe (Marsha) Creek of Casey, IL; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of special friends and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Wanda Creek; second wife, Oveil Creek; and two sisters, Judy Phillips and Eva Dickerson.
A visitation for Charles Creek will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2016, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home, Mountain Home, AR. A graveside service with military honors will be 11 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Elmwood Cemetery, Flora, with a visitation from 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Memorials donations may be made to The Bridge Baptist Church Wednesday Night Meal and will be accepted at the funeral home.
