Margaret Forth

   Margaret Mae Forth, age 99, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at Flora Gardens Care Center.

   Margaret was born April 18, 1917, in East St. Louis, the daughter of William H. and Ina (Martin) Miller.  She was married to John R. Forth Sr.

   Throughout life, she valued family and friends.  She was employed at the shoe factory for over 40 years, and later worked as a waitress.  Margaret always enjoyed dancing on Friday and Saturday nights.  She was a lifetime member of the Flora VFW Auxiliary and the Flora American Legion Auxiliary.

   She is survived by a son: John R. Forth and wife Karen of Flora; 3 grandchildren: Jason Forth and wife Lori of Rushville, Indiana, Kristina Forth of Xenia, and Eric Forth of Flora.  She was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Billy and Norman Miller; and 2 sisters: Jean Tolliver and Marie Hallam.

   A funeral service for Margaret Forth will be 11 a.m. Friday, October 7, 2016, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora, with Pastor Ernie Lewis officiating.  Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. on Friday.  Memorial donations in Margaret's memory are suggested to the Flora Gardens Care Center Activity Fund, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.  Visit www.frankandbright.com to share a memory or condolence with the family.
