Dalton Dakota Ray Snell, age 22, of Clay City, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017.
Dalton was born July 16, 1994, in Fairfield. He loved his son, Aiden, and enjoyed being outdoors, spending time hunting, fishing, and camping with friends and family.
He is survived by his father: Jeremy Ray Snell; mother: Alisha (Freddie Payne) Hollinsworth of Xenia; a son: Aiden Michael Ray Snell; paternal grandparents: Robert and Leanna Snell Jr. of Clay City; maternal grandparents: Johnny and Wanda Hollinsworth of Xenia; maternal great-grandmother: Audra Curtis of Xenia; siblings: Ashley Hollinsworth, Jonathon Hollinsworth, Austin Worrell, and Kaylyn Sue Snell; aunts and uncles: Juli (Tyler) Thompson, James (Courtney) Snell, Juanita (Ed) Petit, Kim (Justin) Stanford, Johnny Hollinsworth; cousins: Tisha (Gary) Blanchard, Oakley Blanchard, Tad Thompson, Trey (Alexis) Thompson, Ben (Lexie) Snell, Brittani Snell, Elayna Paro, Levi Kessel, Kamryn (Jayson Honeycutt) Kessel, Michael Simmons, Jerry Stanford, Kendal Stanford, Colton Dulaney, and Rhiannan O’Rand; a number of great aunts and uncles; and other extended family and a group of special friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandparents: Robert and Wilma Snell and Harold and Iva Turner; maternal great-grandparents: Clois Curtis, and Layman and Allie Hollinsworth; and cousins: Tiffany Brooke Thompson and Joss Marie Stanford.
A funeral service for Dalton Snell will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora, with a visitation from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Mark Luzadder will officiate. Interment will be in Kneff Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to the family to assist with expenses or to Bethlehem Christian Church and these will be accepted at the funeral home.
