Sherry Downer

   Sherry Sue Downer, age 70, formerly of Xenia, Florida and Fairfield, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2017.

   She was born February 13, 1947, in Olney, the daughter of Ford Del and Margaret Julia (Rich) Childers. 

   Sherry was energetic and always in good spirits.  She operated her own arts and crafts business; loved nature, animals, and being outdoors; and enjoyed reading.

   Sherry is survived by her children: Shellena (Allen) Bonham of Xenia, and Branch (Billie) Caldwell of McLeansboro; one granddaughter: Kori Caldwell of Kentucky; one brother: Tracy (Debbie) Childers of Cape Girardeau, MO; one sister: Kathleen Woodall, AZ; and her Tibetan Terrier “Buddy”.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

   There are no services planned at this time.  Arrangements are in the care of Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.
