Kathryn German

   Kathryn D. German, age 100, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at Flora Gardens Care Center in Flora. She was previously a resident at Heritage Woods.

   Kathryn was born April 13, 1917, in Oglesby, Illinois, the daughter of George and Kathryn German. She was an active Bible student, a good gardener and a member of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Foremost was her love for her God Jehovah. Anyone who knew her, knew she loved to share what she believed with others.

   Kathryn is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents; four sisters: Nancy Schlick, Anne Travis, Rose Gladstone, and Helen Turner; and five brothers: Emil, Charles, Frank, George, and Nicholas German.

   There will be no services. But the family would like to thank all who showed her much love and attention at the facilities where she lived for the past 8 years. Interment will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Edwardsville, Illinois. The family was assisted by Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.
