Judith “Judy” A. Wilson, age 73, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018, at her home.
Judy was born January 4, 1945, in Spirit Lake, Iowa, the daughter of Lincoln Delbert Goble and Lois B. (Dannatt) Goble. She married John Larry Wilson on October 29, 1965, at North Harter Christian Church in Louisville, and together they shared 52 years of marriage.
Judy worked at Sparton Manufacturing, Addus Health Care, and operated a daycare in her home. After retirement she helped raise her grandchildren. She was raised in the Lutheran faith and was a member of the Louisville American Legion Post #914 Ladies Auxiliary.
Judy enjoyed special moments such as taking her granddaughters and their friends on convertible rides, going on shopping trips with her daughter and granddaughters, being in the kitchen and cooking, having her morning coffee on the porch with her husband, planting and caring for her flowers, and hosting many summertime pool parties. She was the biggest fan at any sporting event for her children and grandchildren and was named Flora Jr. High Super Fan of the Year 1981-1982. She also cheered Emma on when attending all of her tumbling meets. Judy cherished her life long friends and loved her dog “Fannie” who has been her buddy for the past 15 years. Her family was truly the most important thing in her life and she will be remembered by her beautiful smile and her “one of a kind” sense of humor.
Judy is survived by her husband: John Larry Wilson of Flora; children: Kenneth Wayne Wilson (Lee Anne) of Flora, John Delbert Wilson (Kelly) of Cisne, and Sara Ann Wilson-Bushur (Bradley) of Flora; 5 grandchildren: Kenna, Taylor, Madison, Hannah, and Emma; and a special niece: Debbie (Wayne) Collins of Harristown.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers: Lowell Delbert and Fred Ellis Goble Sr. (wife Jenny); father-in-law and mother-in-law: John Delbert and Kathryn Hazel Wilson; and a nephew: Fred Goble Jr.
