Brandi Renee Phillips, age 42, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018, in Louisville.

Brandi was born February 2, 1976, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Effingham to Ron Courson and Lora Ann (Gould).

She worked as a nurse and raised and loved her two children. She was truly loved by her family and friends.

Brandi is survived by her son: Cody Gould of Flora; a daughter: Jada Phillips of Clay City; her father: Ron Courson of Louisville; two granddaughters: Aspen and Aria Gould; a brother: Niclous Courson (Dena) of Flora; a half-brother: Jeremiah Gard (Cassie) of Iuka; an aunt: Lana Gould (Alan Slagley) of Hord; and a niece: Kameron Huey.

She was preceded in death by her mother; and paternal grandmother: Berniece Schell.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Memorial donations may be made to the family to assist with expenses.
