Lori Ann Persinger, age 48, of Xenia, Illinois, passed away peacefully at her home early Thursday morning, June 7, 2018, after waging a 3-year fight with melanoma, and capturing her victory in Heaven.
She was born April 14, 1970, in Olney. Lori was united in marriage to Donnie Persinger on August 19, 1988, in Morganfield, Kentucky.
Lori and Donnie were lifelong partners in marriage and in their family businesses, Heartland Pest Control and Heartland Rental Properties. As someone who especially enjoyed helping children and people of all ages, she opened and operated Lori’s Daycare, and later worked as an in-home caregiver. She cherished family, raising her children with care and serving as a past girl scout leader, and experiencing a glowing new passion when grandkids became part of her life. Vacations to Panama City, shopping, taking time to talk with everyone she met wherever she went, fishing, and frequently capturing moments with her camera were all part of a life of precious memories and wonderful times that Lori shared with those she loved and embraced with a Christian heart of faith and kindness.
