Jan 2nd, 1965 - Apr 25th, 2018Jeffrey Allen Beck, age 53, of Fairfield, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital in Fairfield.
Jeff was born January 2, 1965, in Flora, the son of Jack Hayward and Freda Ilene (Goff) Beck. He was a native of Flora and moved to Michigan for a while before returning to Illinois. He did roughneck work in the oilfields and worked on cars. Jeff loved spending time with his grandkids, finding time to go fishing, and really enjoyed watching westerns and the History Channel on TV, along with following Detroit Lions football and Chicago Cubs baseball.
He is survived by his daughter: Ashley Lowe (Cory Scott) of Fairfield; step-daughter: Jessica Lowe of Lawrenceville; grandchildren: Zachary Hurley, Clark Ewing, Evan Owen, Sadie Waldrop, and Journey Waldrop; 13 siblings: Jack (Gaylene) Beck, Jerry (Rita) Beck, James ( Jimmy) Beck, Rebecca (Billy) Slane, Lela Hickey, Marilyn Beck (Donny Radford), Olive (Gary) Talbert, Johnny (Beverly) Beck, Julius Beck, Freda (Danny) Lowe, Helen (Jeff) Chapman, Christina Beck, and April Beck; a brother-in-law: Robert Anderson; along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother: Joe Beck; a sister: Rose Anderson; a nephew: Josh Shadowens; and 2 nieces: Darling Angel Musgrave and Riva Beck.
A funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 29th, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora, with visitation from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service on Sunday. In lieu of flowers and gifts, donations may be given to Frank & Bright Funeral Home to help the family with expenses.
