Jimmie D. Vaughn Jr., age 44, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018.
Jimmie was born July 1, 1973, in Tuscola, the son of Jimmie D. Vaughn Sr. and Imogene (Moore) Vaughn. He was married to Wendy Binion on May 8, 2010, at North Harter Christian Church. Jimmie was an over the road truck driver and enjoyed just about anything that involved hot rods and motorcycles. He truly loved life, and in recent days he wanted to express to his family and those he cared about that nothing was more important than the love, friendship, and time that they shared together.
Jimmie is survived by his wife: Wendy Vaughn of Flora; father: Jimmie D. Vaughn Sr. (Lora) of Sumner; parents-in-law: Glenda (Gary) Jones of Louisville and Dexter (Joan) Binion of Franklin, OH; three sons: Codi Vaughn (April Kasinger) of Bridgeport, Bryce Vaughn of Olney, and Seager Broome of Flora; one daughter: Ivy Vaughn of Flora; two granddaughters: Kinley and Avri; grandmother: Ann Vaughn of Olney; siblings: Eddie Vaughn (Tisha) of Olney, Paul Vaughn (Kerry) of Taylorville, Latosha Burke (Marty) of Sumner, and David Vaughn of Bone Gap; along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, extended family and good friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother; granddaughter: Nova Lee Vaughn; grandfather: Jim Vaughn; grandmother: Mary Hubert; and a brother: Vernon Vaughn.
A Celebration of Jimmie’s Life will be 6 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2018, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home, Flora, with Joe Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday. Memorial donations may be given to a fund for family expenses, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.
