Jean Zimmerman
Oct 16th, 1952 - Sep 26th, 2018S. Jean Zimmerman, age 65, of Louisville, Illinois, passed away Wednesday evening, September 26, 2018, at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.
She was born October 16, 1952, in Fairfield, the daughter of Ralph Kennett Jr. and Helen (Hodges). She married Charles J. Zimmerman October 23, 1970, in Flora, and together they shared 47 years of marriage.
Jean worked most recently at Petter Supply Co. for 12 years, and had recently retired. She was a member of the Louisville American Legion Auxiliary. She loved cooking, cleaning and taking care of her dogs. She also enjoyed being outside fishing and gardening, and always looked forward to having good times with her friends and family.
Jean is survived by her husband: Charlie Zimmerman of Louisville; a sister: Sheila Mattox (Roy) of Geff; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Ralph Kennett Jr., and Lowell “Sug” and Helen Ayers; a son: Charles Jacob “Jake” Zimmerman; and a sister: Rita Wilson.
A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Golden Cemetery in Louisville, where interment will follow. Those attending are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice and will be received by the funeral home. Arrangements are in the care of Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.
