Dec 17th, 1953 - Apr 6th, 2019Laura Baker, age 65, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019, at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
She was born December 17, 1953, and was a resident of Treeview Terrace CILA Home in Flora.
Laura enjoyed having coffee with other ladies at home. She was even known to take theirs if she finished first. She liked chocolate desserts, taking warm baths, and going for walks and sitting outside in warm weather. Laura hated wearing shoes and preferred to just wear her house slippers and could often be found sitting in a chair backwards. She was ticklish and would often hold your hand. She had many friends at Treeview Terrace and at work and will be sadly missed.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 15, 2019, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora with Bruce Horsley officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Private interment will be in Floral Garden of Memories Cemetery, Flora. An online guestbook is available at: www.frankandbright.com
