Billie L. White, age 71, of Geff, Illinois, passed away Tuesday evening, July 2, 2019, at Aperion Care in Fairfield.
He was born February 28, 1948, in Ingraham, Illinois, the son of Henry D. and Beatrice (Sparling) White. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Staley on June 28, 1969, and together they have shared 50 years of marriage.
Billie worked in the agriculture business for many years and had later drove a bus for Clay County Industries prior to his retirement. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Billie also enjoyed watching baseball, and had played in a softball league in the past. He and Marilyn enjoyed time spent together going out to eat and visiting and staying in touch with friends.
He is survived by his wife: Marilyn White of Geff; a son: Ryan White (Lori) of Washington; 2 brothers: Larry White (Josie) of Arizona and Jim White (Judy) of Normal; mother-in-law: Alice Gill of Clay City; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation for Billie White will be from 1 until 2 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2019, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. A Remembrance Ceremony will follow at 2 p.m. Memorial donations are suggested to any charity of the donor’s choice and will be accepted through the funeral home.
