Jun 25th, 1968 - Jul 3rd, 2019Steven Young, age 51, of Xenia, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at Clay County Hospital.
He was born June 25, 1968, in Olney, the son of Jerry L. “Boots” and Dixie L. (Brown) Young.
Steven enjoyed being outdoors, camping, fishing, and time spent with family.
He is survived by his 4 children: Kelton Young of Flora, Brittany Braun of Effingham, Richey Owens of Toledo, Ohio, and Matthew Owens of Flora; 5 grandchildren: Ian Young, Jeffrey Domijan Jr., Aiden Braun, Alaynna Braun, and Timothy Owens; mother: Dixie Young of Xenia; fiancée: Tami Young; and siblings: Teresa Eastin of Flora, Cheryl Crowe of Xenia, Jeff Young of Xenia, and Michelle (Mark) Kuhlig of Louisville.
He was preceded in death by his father: Jerry Young; a son: Timothy Young; and a brother: Jerry Dion Young.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora with Pastor Mike Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Powers Cemetery, Xenia. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the family to assist with final expenses and will be accepted through the funeral home.
