Vonda Millar

   Vonda Millar was born in White County, IL, to Von Bertrand Millar and Minnie Saxe Millar on April 8, 1923.  She graduated from Washington High School, Washington, IN, in 1941. She became a registered nurse and worked for many years at Larue D. Carter Memorial Hospital, in Indianapolis, IN, from which she also retired. 

   Vonda was an avid reader, and enjoyed reading the New Yorker magazine.  She watched Jeopardy (and knew most of the answers), watched golf, and was curious about almost everything. She was a wonderful aunt to her nieces and nephew.  

   Vonda died October 4, 2019, in Flora, IL , at the age of 96.   Preceded in death by her parents, brother, Kenneth Millar, and sister, Jean Millar Eskridge.  She leaves behind  nieces, Sally Millar, Flora, IL; Cindy  Eskridge Cornelius (Ron), Independence, MO; Susan Eskridge (Rick Larson), Denver, CO; nephew, Kent Eskridge (Laurie Smith), Lincoln, NE; 4 great nieces; 1 great nephew; 2 great-great nieces and many cousins. Interment at Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, Monday, May 31, 2021, 11am.
