Mary Holland, age 81, of Louisville, IL passed away at 1:25 a.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at her home in Louisville.
Mary was born on October 27, 1931 in Milford, IN to Ward and Melba (Price) Rensberger. She married Norman P. Holland on January 27, 1950 in Milford, IN. He preceded her in death on June 21, 1994. Mary was a homemaker and helped on the family farm. She also worked as an aide at Clay County Hospital and was past owner/operator of The Still in Flora. Mary and Norm enjoyed going square dancing, camping, and traveling. She loved flowers, gardening, sewing, and quilting. Mary had a good sense of humor and always tried to be a good neighbor.
She is survived by a son: Rex (Marcia) Holland of Albion; a daughter: Faye (Doug) Pottorff of Flora; daughter-in-law: Mona Holland of Louisville; 2 sisters: Jo (Paul) Becker of North Webster, IN, Dot Amos of Indianapolis, IN; 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son (Tommy Holland), 1 brother (Douglas Rensberger), and 1 sister (Kate Emmons).
A graveside service for Mary Holland will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Elmwood Cemetery in Flora. Visitation will be held from 11a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Clay County Hospice.
