Maryanne C. Stephenson, age 74, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Friday evening, March 24, 2023, at her home.
She was born September 30, 1948, in New Jersey, the daughter of Herman H. and Regina E. (DeLorenzo) Helgenberg. Maryanne married Kenneth Dale Stephenson on December 6, 1972, in New Jersey.
Maryanne lived her life with Christian faith, and was a member of Flora First Christian Church. She also enjoyed participating in the youth group at Xenia Christ United Church, attending women’s missionary meetings, and listening to Christian music on XM Radio. She looked forward to getting together with friends and working on puzzles and playing games. Maryanne often attended her children’s sporting events and activities over the years, and appreciated precious memories made with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Stephenson of Flora; 2 sons: Leon (Beth) Stephenson and Paul (Jennifer) Fulmer, both of Perryville, Missouri; 2 daughters: Sherri (John) Shaw of Manor, Texas, and Christine Stephenson of Salem; 11 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers.
A funeral ceremony for Maryanne will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Interment will follow at Farnsworth Cemetery in Wayne County. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Clay County Cancer Crusaders and these will be accepted by the funeral home. I am so sorry Alan and Anthony. She was a wonderful woman who loved you boys so very much.
Sorry for your loss. Maryanne was a wonderful lady and neighbor. Always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. She will be missed by many. Heaven gained an angel. Prayers of comfort for all the family and friends.
I will miss our talks and laughs we shared.

Maryanne, was such a beautiful lady and great friend. So sorry for your loss. I remember her spoiling Alan and Anthony. Oh, how she loved her husband and children. I'm not sure she ever met anyone she did like. Loved serving God,every chance she had. She is loved and will be missed. ❤️🌹

A very sweet and caring person. I will miss seeing her and Waggs, her dog, on the front porch in the neighborhood. Maryanne and Ken are special people. God's bouquet is complete.

I was so sorry to hear that you lost Mary Ann. She and I enjoyed many conversations over the years. She was. such a big help the year I had Anthony in school. I’ll miss those conversations and her laugh.
