Larry D. Eastin, age 71, of Flora, Illinois passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014 at his home in Flora.
Larry was born April 7, 1943 in Flora to Felix Leon and Lillie (Sharp) Eastin. He married Lois Miller on December 20, 1963 in Flora. Larry worked at Roadmaster/Brunswick AMF in Olney retiring after 35 plus years of service. He enjoyed camping and fishing, especially being on a boat with a fishing pole in his hand, loved his dog “Buttons”, and cherished the time spent with the grandkids and great-grandkids. Larry recently enjoyed seeing the first green tomato in his garden this season.
He is survived by his wife: Lois Eastin of Flora; daughter: Vickie (Mike) Knepper of Newton; daughter: Vivian (Terry) Ewing of Johnsonville; son: Larry (Kris) Eastin of Rinard; grandchildren: Charlie (Ashley) Workman of Louisville, Heather (Tyler) Mulvany of Louisville, Vanessa (Tyrunne) Howard of Effingham, Brittini Meyer (Derek Hintz) of Florence, Alabama, Brock Giddens of Flora, Brandon Giddens of Johnsonville, Jessica Burroughs of Kell, Jordan Burroughs of Kell, Alan Burroughs of Kell, Levi Eastin (Kate McAllister) of Cisne; 7 great-grandchildren and one expected great-grandchild; sisters: Norma (Art) Tunnicliff of Brighton and Janet Sue Pourchot of Holiday, Florida; brother: Ernest Leon Eastin of Flora; and a host of cherished nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter (Velma Mae), and a brother (Ronnie Eastin).
The funeral service for Larry D. Eastin will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora with visitation from 9-10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Clay County Hospice and will be received at the funeral home.

Sorry to hear about your lost. Worked with Larry many years at AMF in Olney and played a lot of baseball with him when we were going up in the South end of town. He will be missed.
