Mary Ann Frye

     Mary Ann Frye, age 81, of Louisville, Illinois passed away at her home on Saturday, October 5, 2013.

     Mary Ann was born February 22, 1932 in Charleston, IL to Maurice and Elizabeth (Myers) Bay.  She married Harlen L. Frye on September 10, 1949 at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Flora.  Mary Ann worked as a waitress in Louisville for many years and was a faithful lifetime member of St. Stephen Catholic Church.  She was also a long time member of Clay County Genealogical Society, enjoyed volunteering her time when needed, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan listening to them on the radio.  In her younger days, Mary Ann liked to go horseback riding, bowling, roller skating, motorcycle riding, and camping and in the past few years she found enjoyment going to her favorite restaurant Red Lobster.

     Mary Ann is survived by her husband: Harlen Frye of Louisville; children: Jerry Frye (wife Diane) of Louisville, Pat Barber (husband Ray) of Louisville, Dottie Nicholson (husband Jerry) of Xenia, Linda Griffy (husband Roger) of Louisville; 9 grandchildren: Melissa (Rick) Krumerich, Mike (Angie) Frye, Tracy Williams, Jeremy (Becky) Barber, Christy Fulk, Craig Lewis (Ashley Dulaney), John (Carla) Nicholson, Dale Nicholson (friend Sheri), and Jason Griffy;  21 great-grandchildren: Samantha and Paige Krumerich, Preston Greenwood, Raigan and Landon Frye, Garrett Williams, Gavin Bickley, Gracie and Wyatt Barber, Elizabeth, Seth and Jennifer Fulk, Alexis, Destiny and Corban Lewis, Kyle and Trevor Nicholson, Bradon Nicholson,  and Brantly, Braxton and Bryton Griffy; brother: Jack Bay of Streator; sister-in-law: Leah Mae Douglas of Torrance, CA; along with several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson Bryon Williams.

     The funeral service for Mary Ann Frye will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Frank & Bright Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Red Brush Cemetery, Louisville.  Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  Memorial donations are suggested to Clay County Genealogical Society or Masses and will be accepted at the funeral home.
