James Robert Greenwood, age 61, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Saturday morning, May 4, 2024, at Flora Gardens Care Center.
He was born August 9, 1962, in Champaign, the son of Robert and Geneva Louise (Bynum) Greenwood.
James had worked in his family business at Greenwood Motor Sales in Flora. He enjoyed his classic Chevrolet Corvair and playing golf, and had participated in the Corvair Society of America, USGA, and PGA Tour Partners.
He is survived by a number of cousins.
He was preceded in passing by his parents and an infant brother, Robert Bruce Greenwood.
A graveside ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Elmwood Cemetery, Flora, with Bill Greenwood officiating. Those who wish to attend are asked to arrive directly at the cemetery. Arrangements are by Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Memorial donations are suggested to your choice of Bethlehem Christian Church or Oil Belt Christian Service Camp, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.
