Angela Kay Gill, age 52, passed away early Friday morning, May 8, 2026, at her home in Flora, Illinois.
Angie was born on May 3, 1974, the first child of Stephen and Connie (Burgess) Gill. Despite suffering with a debilitating, degenerative disease for decades, Angie lived a happy life full of love. When she was four years old, her little brother was born, and Angie was an amazing big sister. She loved her family and friends fiercely, and was known for her generous spirit. During her younger years, Angie had many hobbies and interests that brought her joy. She loved painting and photography, collecting unique jewelry, caring for animals, and spending time in nature. She planted beautiful roses and had a special fondness for picturesque creeks.
Angie was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on June 25, 1988, and she found great comfort in her faith. All who met her were amazed by her fortitude in the face of extraordinary difficulties. She attributed her ability to endure to the promises found in the Bible and her hope for a better future. (Psalms 37:11)
Angie is survived by her devoted parents; brother, Michael (Darah) Gill; nephew, Michael Evan Gill; and niece, Aeryn Gill - all of Flora, IL; paternal aunts and uncles, Lorena Gill of Clay City, IL, Rick (Glenda) Gill of Flora, IL, Sandra (Jim) Lingle of Flora, IL, and RJ (Patty) Gill of Cottonwood, AZ; maternal aunt, LuAnne Pennington of Mishawaka, IN; numerous cousins; and many friends who felt like family.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Eldon Gill and Betty Cooper; paternal uncle, Robin Gill; maternal grandparents, Ancil Burgess and Lois Thomas; and maternal infant uncle, David Burgess.

Dear Connie and family, I'm so sorry for the loss of your beautiful daughter, my friend and little sister. I love her beautiful smile, her strength and humor. She is now safe (no longer in pain) in Jehovah's memory. I know she will be back soon; but till then she will be missed by so many. Love you so very much Little One.
I have never personally met Angie, but I feel like I know her because I have heard so many wonderful things about her from my friend, Virginia Fuller. I look forward to the day when I can meet Angie in person and get to know her and her wonderful family. May Jehovah be with you in this time of great sorrow.
Our hearts go out to Steve, Connie, Mike, Darah, Evan and Aeryn. We will remember Angie's beautiful smile, sense of humor and laughter through the years. We look forward to Isaiah 35:8 being fulfilled for her by Jehovah after she's resurrected.
The hope we look forward to for Angie is Isaiah 35:6 in the paradise earth. Just around the corner.
